چکیده
Abstract Background and study aims The European Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy (ESGE) recently issued a quality performance measures document for small bowel capsule endoscopy (SBCE). aim this nationwide survey was to explore SBCE practice with ESGE as benchmark. Patients methods A dedicated per-center semi-quantitative questionnaire based on created by group experts. One-hundred-eighty-one centers were invited participate asked calculate performed in 2018. Data compared 10 standards both key minor measures. Results Ninety-one (50.3 %) participated the data collection. Overall last 5 years (2014–2018), 26,615 SBCEs performed, 5917 which done Eighty percent or more participating reached minimum standard established Small Bowel Working Group (ESBWG) four (indications SBCE, complete evaluation, diagnostic yield retention rate). Conversely, compliance six ESBWG concerning adequate preparation, patient selection, timing overt bleeding, appropriate reporting, reading protocols referral device-assisted enteroscopy met only 15.5 %, 10.9 31.1 67.7 53.4 32.2 % centers, respectively. Conclusions present shows significant variability across centers; (4/10: 40 procedural relevant proportion ( ≥ 80 %). Our should help identifying target areas improvement programs SBCE.

متن کاملQuality Indicators for Small Bowel Capsule Endoscopy
Capsule endoscopy (CE) enables evaluation of the entire mucosal surface of the small bowel (SB), which is one of the most important steps for evaluating obscure gastrointestinal bleeding. Although the diagnostic yield of SB CE depends on many clinical factors, there are no reports on quality indicators. Thus, the Korean Gut Image Study Group (KGISG) publishes an article titled, "Quality Indicat...
